Lesson importance

The Importance setting tells the scheduler how to prioritize a lesson. High-importance lessons tend to be placed earlier in the school day.

What it does

• Prioritizes core subjects: Set key subjects as high-importance so they get scheduled in the morning.
• Keeps days balanced: The scheduler avoids packing too many high-importance lessons into a single day for the same class.

How to set it

Go to Lessons → Edit and change the Importance field. Use Bulk Edit if you need to update multiple lessons at once.

Default behavior

• When importing: Lessons with a higher weekly frequency are automatically given higher importance.
• When adding manually: New lessons default to "Important".
